WHAT MATTERS

My Priorities

I’m running for the Minnesota Senate because I believe every family deserves the chance to thrive.

That means tackling the rising cost of living, ensuring real safety in our communities, and creating a future rooted in equity. These are the values that guide me, and the work I’ll carry into the Minnesota Senate.

Together, we can build a future where every family feels secure, supported, and proud to call Minnesota home.

Too many families are struggling to keep up with the rising cost of living. From housing to groceries to healthcare, it feels harder every day to make ends meet.

I know housing is at the heart of this challenge. As a City Council member and through my work on boards like Aeon, I’ve seen what stable, affordable homes can mean for families and what happens when that stability is out of reach. As a Catholic Charities board member, I hear what our neighbors need when they don’t have stable housing. Cities like St. Louis Park have been innovating on housing affordability, and now it’s time for the state to follow that lead.

I’ll work to:

  • Expand access to safe, stable, and affordable housing across Minnesota.

  • Make everyday essentials like food, medicine, and housing more affordable

  • Invest in policies that make our state livable for everyone, not just the wealthy few.

SAFETY

Every person deserves to feel safe in their home, their schools, their workplace, and their community. Safety isn’t just about crime. It’s about whether families can live free from fear. That means addressing gun violence, ensuring our laws are fair and just, and rejecting federal actions that tear communities apart. We cannot let safety be defined by intimidation or silence.

I’ll work to:

  • Pass common-sense gun violence prevention measures to keep our communities safe.

  • Push back against federal policies that target and terrorize immigrant families.

  • Support community-driven approaches that prevent crime, build trust, and make our neighborhoods stronger.

Equity is about more than fairness. It’s about creating real opportunities for every Minnesotan. That means removing barriers, investing in strong schools, and making sure every child has the tools to succeed.

I’ve seen firsthand how government programs can change lives. My own family survived and thrived because support was there when we needed it. Today, families face new and more complex challenges but our commitment to equity must remain clear: everyone should have the chance to live with dignity and opportunity.

I’ll work to:

  • Strengthen and fund public schools so every child has the chance to learn and thrive.

  • Ensure state resources are distributed fairly and reach the families who need them most.

  • Build policies that reflect the diversity and strength of our community, so no one is left out or left behind.
